Blackjack Rules
The Blackjack game, commonly known as 21 (blackjack) is one of the most popular games in Casinos around the world and probably the most popular card game on the planet. Blackjack is a card game that involves some strategy, and is usually played at 6-player collective tables. However, each player at the table plays individually against the Dealer and never against each other. At online casinos you will be playing directly against the Dealer and with no other players at the table, unless you choose to apply the Blackjack Method at a Live Casino.
The objective as a player is to total 21 with your cards or bring your hand value as close to 21 as possible. Both the player and the Dealer play Blackjack when their initial two cards are Ace and 10 (Ace + card 10, or Ace more figure). Backjack is usually played with 6 decks of cards at the same time, these decks are automatically mixed by the machine during the game.In the first turn, cards are dealt to all players. The two cards you will be dealt will always be face up, meaning both you and the Dealer can see your game. The Dealer's cards are one face up and one face down. The Dealer card that is face-up is the one that will influence the decisions players will have regarding their game, that is, depending on the Dealer's card, you will know what to do or not to do on the next hand.
The Dealer's objective is also to make 21. However, the value of the Dealer's cards must always be equal to or greater than 17, that is, if the Dealer's first two cards have a value less than 17, he will have to draw more cards up to a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 21. When the sum of the Dealer's cards exceeds the value of 21, he crashes and you win the hand. If the Dealer makes between 17 and 21, you only win if you have a higher hand than the Dealer, and you draw when your hand value is equal to the Dealer's hand value. If you make a lower value than the Dealer has, you lose the hand.
Basic Blackjack Rules
Split – When a player is dealt 2 of the same cards, they can split and separate their cards into two independent bets. In this case, it is another bet of equal value to the previous one and the player starts playing with 2 hands. In a split with 2 aces, the rules are a little different. If you split to 2 aces, the player only receives one more card for each hand. If in a split aces the player makes 21 with face and ace, this hand is not considered Blackjack.
Double Down - When a player is dealt 2 cards that add up to a relatively low value and he thinks that the next card will make him reach a considerable value, he can double his bet and receive only one more card. It is usually allowed to double when a player has values between 8 and 11 in his hand, but these values depend on the rules or software of each casino, and there are casinos that allow you to double the bet in lower and higher values.
Insurance – Whenever the Dealer has an Ace on the table, the player has the possibility to take out insurance for their bet. Insurance is equivalent to half of the stake in the game. In case the Dealer has Blackjack, the player loses the bet, but receives the insurance amount in 2 to 1, that is, he receives the bet amount. If the Dealer does not have Blackjack, the player loses insurance but keeps his bet in play. There is a tie when Player and Dealer have Blackjack.
